We thought we would try the Higoi for valentines day, and what a meal!.
The food was outstanding on the set menu. I would recomend the Beef Teriyaki :)

Hi my wife and I have been comming to your restaurant for many years now. My wife lived in japan for 2 years teaching English and your delicious food remids her of a ver happy time there.
I also have come to love Japaneses food. Espechally the kiseki style dinner. |

This was our third visit to the Higoi Restaurant and it seems to improve each time we go. The food is very authentic indeed, and anyone who thinks Japanese food is just raw) sushi, needs to go and sample this delicious food.
There is a good selection of Japanese beer too. We would like to have heard more traditional Japanese music being played, and the seats could have been a bit more comfortable. Go along and have a most enjoyable evening. 9/10 |

We've just experienced a relaxed, delicious meal at The Higoi. The food arrived in good time and was the perfect temperature. The service was relaxed and very friendly. It is difficult to put into words just how excellent this restaurant is. The best compliment I can give Higoi is that the quality of their food is on a par with that served in Japanese restaurants in the Orient. It is wonderful to experience this level of authenticity in a country so far away from our origins. |

I've been to the Higoi many many times and have recommended it to every person I've met who likes food as it's quite simply the nicest food I've ever eaten anywhere!
Myslef and my fellow colleagues in the noble art of Tetsudo have our club Christmas meal here every year and not once has anybody (even those who come with a bad attitude towards foods they've never had before) ever left with anything other than good words for what they've just experienced. |

My second visit to the restaurant last night, managed to get the only non-booked table for the evening. Food is lovely, both me and my friend really enjoyed it. The standard is just as good as it was 3 years ago. I will never go anywhere else for Japanese food in this country.
Why bother with the rest, when you have tried the best!!

I love Japanese food anyway but to have such fine example outside of London with truly excellent service and presentation is awesome.
